The design proposal aims to redefine the entrance to the ZPS Monte Ortobene, creating a “gateway” between the city and nature through a continuous architectural gesture that enhances the “Church of Solitude” as a cultural landmark. The project reorganizes mobility by prioritizing pedestrian and cycling routes, integrating intermodal hubs and sustainable solutions. Paving, street furniture, and local materials strengthen urban identity and guide visitors along a landscape-oriented path with terraces, open spaces, and social areas. The system incorporates the sports area, expanding its cultural and recreational use, and features symbolic elements such as a scenic tower and panoramic observatory. The intervention introduces ecological corridors, sustainable water management, and native vegetation to shape a resilient, multisensory landscape. The result is an integrated masterplan that connects architecture, environment, and community, promoting urban quality and sustainability.
