The design intent was to privilege a unitary image for the new scholastic complex. The building takes shape from the apparently instinctive combination of a wide range of volumes. The school rises from the ground creating a public space blending with the scholastic one. Externally, on the north-east side of the school, there are the fields and the track for the outdoor sport activities, instead the south side is dedicated to the recreational activities of the school. The classrooms, grouped together in “learning communities”, are arranged outwards, taking benefit from the view towards the landscape, that allows more light in addition to straightening the student’s contact with nature. From the “learning communities” is possible to access green tops of the school’s lower volumes. Each “volume” will symbolize for them an activity, an educational path, a sense of belonging.
