The project involves a new event building for the Ravenna Port Authority, located along the Candiano Canal, designed as a bridge between the port and the city. The building is organized on multiple levels, with a conference hall and café on the ground floor, a panoramic restaurant on the first floor, and administrative offices on the upper floors. A blue mosaic pathway runs through the building and along the quay, creating continuity between landscape and architecture while referencing Ravenna’s Byzantine mosaic tradition. The concrete base engages with the port environment, while the upper volume becomes an urban landmark. The project enhances public spaces and micro-landscapes, integrates sustainable strategies, high-efficiency systems, controlled ventilation, and rainwater harvesting, ensuring accessibility and optimal acoustic performance. The building is conceived as a multifunctional space open to the community, symbolizing cultural identity and maritime vocation.
